Silent But Not Idle

Over the past couple weeks, it may have seemed like the CodeReview bloggers dropped of the face of Ada.  ;)  The truth is that we are all still here...well most of us.  There has been a lot going on here at the Quixtar Spaulding facility ever since we came back for the new 2008 calendar year.  All the work at the office, much less the work we end up doing in the evenings at home can make it pretty easy for us to convince ourselves that we don't have the time to Blog.  Well, I have good news...that is going to change.

The CodeReview bloggers are in the process of a New Years resolution.  We are going to be committed to making sure the Posts keep coming and we do not get so distracted that CodeReview goes silent.  I am confident we will be successful in that commitment.  All the work going on in the business transformation will require that we communicate more often and more effectively than ever!  So it is very important, that we keep up the communication and even crank it up a notch!

One final note, I would like to say a fond farewell to fellow blogger Erik Toth.  Erik was always very passionate and committed to everything he was ever involved in.  Even though Erik has moved on to other opportunities (in warmer climate) we will not forget him and certainly wish him the very best!

I'm glad to hear about your commitment to frequent updates. Now and in the coming months, I hear there will be some more exciting things taking place. I appreciate being kept up to speed and you are all doing a great job!

One of the topics I am especially interested in is the one about a personalized Quixtar address. I love the new site and would like it easier to send customers there instead of the retail sites sometimes. But, like the retail sites, I would like to make it easier for the customer by making my link there to automatically track back to me so they don't need to jump through the 'IBO & key' hoop.

This is a recurring topic, I know. The last I heard was that IT had received the legalese and was , then, just a matter of implementation.  Can you please give an update on that?

Steve, I was wondering a couple things about the receipt function. Could you or your team make it so we can make a receipt out for non-registered customers? Now it requires a customer number. I have some customers that simply do not want to register for whatever reasons. So, I have to print one of the other receipts and fill it out by hand. No big deal; it would just be nice to be able to enter the data and print it on the receipt function, and not have to make one out manually. (Modern problems, I know.) Also, could you please make the font size bigger? It is soooo small, that us 53 year-olds that have to take Lutein everyday, can barely read it. Thanks for what you can do.

Steve, Sort of what Tom was talking about in his post, I think having a streamlined personal page for customers would be great. One personal website, with a unique address (traceable to each IBO), that allows a customer to then choose from the front page which area they wish to explore. Front page could look like a spider, or perhaps a mall type layout, where they can easily see the different brands or categories that currently exist. It will keep us from having to have 4 different business cards or four different web addresses. Thanks

Tom, the feature is code complete and awaiting final approval. I have requested a status update and will let you know what I hear. I apologize for how long it's taking us to get back to you on this one way or the other.

Jeffrey, I forwarded your request on. Thanks for the feedback again.

Thanks so much, Brett! This is going to make things much easier for us out here!!! I'm on the edge of my seat here. I look forward to hearing from you. Tom in Atlanta
